HILLSIDE
GOLDEN
RETRIEVERS

THIS PAGE IS FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL HILLSIDE GOLDEN RETRIEVERS THAT MADE AN IMPACT ON THEIR FAMILY.   WE  WERE SO GLAD THAT THESE DOGS HAD SUCH WONDERFUL FAMILIES.  WE THANK THE OWNERS FOR PROVIDING THE LOVE AND CARE TO OUR PUPPIES & DOGS.  (Each dog will have a tribute up for viewing for at least six months from time of passing as a tribute to these dogs and we invite the owner to write tribute).

I have just learned that HILLSIDE DOWN COUNTRY ROADS,CD ("Denver") passed away on 6/19/2012..   Denver was loved by Julie and Doug Lovell...He was their constant companion....and thought about in all their decisions ( like buying a place in Colorado with a fenced yard for Denver).  Please keep Julie & Doug in your thoughts through this tough time...  This was hard for me to hear....Denver was out of Remington ( same as Wesson) & Croce (Wesson's grandma)...so almost same pedigree...and he was 3 months younger than Wesson.....I ask Julie to write a tribute to this WONDERFUL dog and to share some of her favorite pictures....when she can....  But I can tell you he was a GOLDEN GENTLEMAN and he is deeply missed.  Denver was just 9 years old.

Thanks Sharon for giving us the opportunity to have Denver as a part of our family.  It seems like just yesterday we were picking him up as a puppy.  The time went so fast.  Denver was a special part of our family and we miss him so much, but we are thankful for the nine years that we had with him.  Denver, we will never forget you, and the things you did to make us smile.  You will be in our hearts forever, we love you.  Doug and Julie.

"My best friend closed her eyes last night,
As her head was in my hand.
The Doctors said she was in pain,
And it was hard for her to stand.
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
as I cradled her in my arms,
Were of her younger, puppy years,
And Oh!...her many charms.
Today, there was no gentle nudge,
With an intense "I Love YOU" gaze.
Only a heart that's filled with tears,
Remembering our joy-filled days.
But, an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, "CRY NO MORE,
GOD also loves our canine friends...

He's installed a "doggy door".
